The L620 Digital Hand-Held Moisture Meter Replaces the Earlier L610 Model

The L620 gives you all the same great moisture measurement benefits as the L601-3 along with an easy-to-ready LCD digital display and the ability to store up to 500 readings on the meter.

The L620 is ideal for harsh, industrial environments. It offers a bigger scanner plate and ergonomic handle, so you can scan more wood faster. The L620 also gives deeper readings that are suitable for lumber and wood products from 1” to 4” in thickness.

The L620 features a full function two-line, 32-character LCD display. A simple menu system guides you step-by-step through the selecting, storing, and reporting process.

All Wagner Meters Read in the Wood, Not on the Wood

With this meter, electromagnetic waves penetrate past the surface into the wood to a depth of 1″ and provide an instant reading of the board’s moisture content. Even very long boards can be scanned from end-to-end in seconds with the large 2.5″ x 2.5″ scanning surface. It makes the job of moisture measurement easier, very thorough, and more accurate.

Readings are virtually unaffected by wood temperature (operating range 32-120 degrees F outside of the kiln), can operate accurately in every wood-drying and processing environment, and the presence of absorbed surface moisture on wood being measured is not an issue with a Wagner meter.

Other Special Features Include:

  • Storage of up to 500 individual moisture readings.
  • Readings are retained even when the batteries have been replaced.
  • The L620 is factory-supplied with 32 built-in common species. These can be customized to allow for changes in regional calibration.
  • Readings can be stored in up to 5 different groups for comparison of average MC, standard deviation, and minimum/maximum MC.
  • The LCD screen is backlit, making it easier for measurements to be taken in low-light environments.
  • Battery life: ~50 hours of continuous use, will be less when the backlight is turned on.
  • When the battery voltage is low, “BAT” will be displayed.
  • Auto shut-off in 1 minute unless a function button has been pressed or an MC reading has changed.
  • 1-year warranty.
  • The L620 comes standard with an uncertified Calibration Verification Block (CVB), to allow you to check factory calibration, with the option of upgrading the CVB with NIST traceable certification.
  • Available in English, Spanish and Portuguese

Also available for purchase is a NIST-certified CVB.

FAQs
1. Who should use an Industrial Hand-held Moisture Meter?
An organization should own Industrial Hand-held meters if they are to be used in a high-volume industrial operation.

One particular model of Wagner handheld moisture meter is also designed to operate with a Stack Probe accessory. People that need to measure moisture deep in stacks of stickered lumber will find these meters to be very useful for determining the moisture content throughout a stack of lumber.

2. What are the advantages of an Industrial Hand-held Moisture Meter?
These meters have a handle at the top to make it easier to measure large volumes of wood. In addition, these meters read deeper into the wood than most other types of pinless meters.

3. What is Stat-Pak software?
This software allows a person to track the average moisture content and standard deviation of batches of lumber and compare them with other batches of lumber. This software is very useful for people who dry wood and need to track how different kilns and drying schedules are performing.

4. What type of warranty is on an Industrial Hand-held Moisture Meter?
Wagner Industrial Hand-held Moisture Meters come with a limited one-year warranty.

5. If my meter should get damaged, can it be repaired?
